Several established rowing teams have participated in WCR-sponsored and regional rowing events over the years. Most of these teams, like the Grey Buzzards, the Sirenes, the Buzz-Lites, the Dirty Oars, and the Shiverin' Timbers, row whaleboats on a regular basis for pleasure, exercise, socializing, and occasionally decide to enter a racing event. In addition, ad hoc or pickup teams have also formed from time to time with the objective of entering a particular race as well.

Teams consist of WCR members who like to row at regularly scheduled times. The teams select their own crew members and determine when and how often they will row. Teams often have openings for new crew members; contact the Captain if you would like to join one of the teams (click the Captain's name to send an email).
